A brochure, website, business card or networking is by itself not marketing. Marketing is what you say, how you say it and who you say it to in a way that defines you from your competitors in the eyes of your customer. Too often, well-intended business people mistake marketing for selling. Marketing is how you attract prospects into your business. Selling is what you do after they are there.

KEY 2:
Most people don't want to be sold as much as they would like to make their own decision to buy. My second key is to boost your closing ratio through the application of a relevant sales process. It starts with building trust. Credibility and urgency comes through a series of defined steps that educate your customer as to why they would be foolish to do business with anyone else but you.

About Daron Powers
As an independent businessman I have worked in a variety of industries, as you will observe by the feedback on this website.
The Four Keys to Attracting More Sales is based on a book that I recently wrote while primarily associated with residential home building. The book is titled Sales in a Challenging Real Estate Market. Principles of marketing, sales, customer satisfaction and motivation apply to all industries and business people.
My formal education is in marketing where I received a BBA from Eastern Michigan University. However, the real world experience has come from selling myself into a variety of fascinating and challenging projects. Ventures that include fortune 500 companies such as Ford, GM, Chrysler, Pulte Homes, Navistar, H&R Block, Toyota, plus many mid-sized and mom and pop businesses.
My ability to speak and coach came as a result of ten years of experience in a world-class training organization. I learned to sell and manage salespeople from the products I was promoting. During this critical decade I established myself as one of the top producers in the Dale Carnegie Organization located in Southeast Michigan. During this period I worked with tens of thousands of individuals and businesses. My proficiency in sales and leadership eventually allowed me to tackle many projects of the clients listed above and below in the testimonials.
What rounds me out as a writer, presenter and problem solver are the disciplines or my hobbies... well more like passions that continue teach me. My background as a musical performer and a brown and black belt in two different martial arts has caused me to understand the business world in a wider light. Discipline, focus and an abundance of creativity help me to offer clients unique insight and solutions into marketing, sales, customer satisfaction and staying upbeat, energized and motivated.
